About Us
Our History
Agriculture is the lifeblood of our country and by extension, the Caribbean. It is on this idea that the creation of Pitchfork Acres was premised. Our farm is owned and operated by its CEO and Managing Director, Kemar Smith. We were formally established in 2021, with our location at Robin’s Hall, Malton District – Manchester. Pitchfork Acres currently produces sweet potatoes, sweet peppers, yams, cabbages and carrots. With product expansion at the forefront of our operations, other produce such as strawberries, tomatoes and lettuce will be cultivated. Our farm aims to offer bundled produce deals in the near future, to adequately meet the needs of our consumers, at a competitive price point.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide premium quality ground produce to our customers at
competitive prices, by employing environmentally sustainable methods of agriculture.
Our Vision
Our vision is to revolutionize the traditional approach to agriculture by employing
environmentally sustainable methods of planting and growing produce, all in an attempt to be the premier supplier of locally grown, high quality organic produce to meet the demands of the Jamaican market, and the Caribbean at large.
Farmer's Hub
The Farmers’ Hub is one of our branded initiatives that aims to bring small farmers together to gain access to better and wider consumer markets.
Hub's Mission
To make farmers coming together to fill gaps on a wider scale for equal stability in the trade market
Hub's Vision
The hub's main objective is to act as a farmers hotspot, facilitating the exchange of ideas, information as well as financial and agricultural trades but In essence a network for farmers. Our aim is to help small farmers that have non-structural management that prevents them from providing the service that they had branched out for. With our hub and its marketing skills and trade traunches we create a horizon for farmers to get the necessary assistance needed by our team that prioritizes people over everything. The Hub’s goal is to provide the highest level of service to its farmers.
